How did the excursion go?
Jana Turko, who is in charge of HR, briefly introduced the history, structure and values of the company.
Václav Pikora, Head of Engineering, explained how magnetism works in practice and showed them videos of our machines. They had the opportunity to test how the separators work on a model of a tube magnet and magnetic filters. Ordinary paper clips were used. Mixed with non-magnetic bulk material, they poured them through the separator and the staples got caught on the magnets. The magnetism is not visible, but it's very powerful.
Production manager Jan Král guided them through the production, explaining how the whole production process works from design and construction, commissioning to production and final assembly of the magnetic separators.
The weather cooperated and it was possible to demonstrate and explain the separation of ferrous metals on our test overbelt magnetic separator and non-magnetic metals (aluminium, copper) on the Locust Eddy Current separator outside the company.
The students enjoyed the excursion. According to their class teacher, they found the excursion interesting and beneficial.
Now they know that we design and manufacture top-quality magnetic machines right in Mníšek pod Brdy. We hope not only to make WAMAG more visible in the area, but also to convince young people that working in engineering production can be interesting.
