The main task was to replace older, non-functional magnetic conveyors, used for the inter - operational transport of metal scraps 0,7 to 0,8 mm thick, with the new ones. The metal scraps are in the shape of annulus or circles with a diameter of up to 360 mm and rectangles measuring up to 330 mm by 160 mm.
Our design engineers have devised a new design solution and have been able to set up the required magnetic systems by using the FEA program Opera. During the testing period they used a sufficient sample of metal scraps to test and confirm the proper function of the conveyors.
The conveyors are equipped with wheels for easier handling and have an adjustable height mechanism, which adds another advantage to this new product.
The length of straight magnetic conveyors is 8,900 mm with the width of 800 mm. The conveyor type "SWAN NECK" has the working length of 4,700 mm, the height of 2,150 mm and the width of 790 mm. See video how it works.
Do you deal with metal processing or do you need to solve a similar problem with inter-operational transport? Contact us. We will be happy to design a suitable solution for you, by using the magnets. More about magnetic conveyors see here.
Due to the considerable size and weight of all three parts, it was necessary to ensure the safe transport of conveyors to the customer abroad. So our expeditors have extensive experience with the process. – See photo.
